Huddle Up Hoops is a physical literacy basketball program founded in Powell, Ohio with a focus on developing ability, confidence & desire to be active & ready for life.

It started with a love for the game and a dream. The King Family had a vision to improve the lives of our younger generation through the sport of basketball.

Huddle Up Hoops partners with childcare centers, churches, and community centers to introduce the game of basketball to children as young as 18 months old. Working directly with City progams to provide evening & Summer programs. Huddle Up Hoops continues to build their relationships to provide this program to more children in the area.

Each basketball class and training session is designed to show children what they are capable of, while building a confidence in what they can do. Every practice has a basketball skill focus as well as a life skill focus. We want to develop great basketball players but more importantly, great people.

"Basketball is a beautiful game. Not only is it fun, but it has the potential to instill great human qualities into the person who chooses to pursue it. My strong belief is that it's the responsibility of the coach/trainer to create an environment and connect with their players in a way that helps elicit these qualities - Passion, Discipline, Creativity, Leadership, Humility, Courage, Integrity, Great Communication, Optimism, Teamwork, Respect, Patience... and the list goes on. I don't take that responsibility lightly. Every player I interact with, I want to give them the opportunity to see this game how I see it, love it how I love it."
